NEW UNITY LIFE Mystery School banner

◊💙💎 In celebration of the new release of the documentary video for F.1(73) of NIRVANA #KurtCobainIsAlive, I’ve created a neo banner for UNITY LIFE Mystery School. This artwork was dedicated to Jared Leto for his 53rd birthday on December 26th 2024. It’s the first new banner I’ve made since 2016, and I’m thrilled to say that more are on the way. For the first time ever, I was able to bring a long-held dream to life: to use AI-generated artwork as the foundation for my design—original imagery born from my own inner visions, not stock photography or paintings by others. While I deeply value collaborating with painters (and have cherished receiving permission from them in the past), this time I wanted something truly my own.

◊🌈 The design began with the image of a black panther wearing a tiara—a crown commonly seen in the Ayahuasca vision art of Pablo Amaringo, where divine spiritual beings are crowned not as rulers, but as embodiments of sacred integrity. This concept took on a special resonance when I remembered that Kurt Cobain once wore a tiara himself during a live performance. Through personal spiritual insight, I came to recognize the black panther as Kurt’s animal spirit totem. In Amazonian medicine traditions, stories told during Ayahuasca ceremonies speak of shamans transforming into large jungle cats—leopards, black jaguars, or even panthers—at night to commune with nature and safeguard the jungle. These beings are often seen in visions with rainbow light shining from their mouths. I originally attempted to depict this with a full rainbow, but ultimately focused on deep blues, purples, and cyan to harmonize with the color themes of the UNITY LIFE universe. I’m genuinely in love with how it turned out.


◊💧🐟 As an additional element to bring context and larger meaning to my artwork, I also included a “school” of fish—which happens to poetically fits the phrase “Mystery School.” I chose to include fish in this banner in honor of the powerful revelations in the #KurtCobainIsAlive documentary, which decodes Nirvana’s recurring fish symbolism as part of a larger plan: the suggestion that Kurt may have faked his death and moved to Peru to become a Vegetalista, a practitioner of Amazonian plant medicine. In this tradition, fish is more than food—it’s foundational. Without clean fish, the sacred dietary and spiritual practices of Vegetalismo become nearly impossible. This is why Nirvana’s lyrics warned about seafood contamination—an issue deeply tied to industrial pollution and environmental collapse, especially in regions like Peru and Mexico. These threats imperil ancient healing traditions. That all said, it strikes me as incredibly affirming to see that Krist Novoselic, Nirvana’s bassist, has more recently begun studying environmental law.

◊⭕️ The design also includes a visual close-up of what I now call the UNITY LIFE shield. Originally the project’s full logo in 2016, this image has since been replaced with a simple thick diamond with rounded corners—reflecting the universal “diamond mind” of UNITY LIFE’s visual resources. But I love the old shield so much that I chose to preserve it here. I’m currently envisioning new Visionary Ecology learning tools that will move beyond diamonds into other geometries—one in the form of triangle tiles that can combine into diamonds, and another shaped like the graceful fan of a Ginkgo Biloba leaf.


◊💠 I’ve always been fascinated by geometry as a spiritual language. That’s why I decided to incorporate not only diamonds but a variety of experimental shapes into the new banner’s design grid. Back in 2016, my banners had a square-diamond grid in the background—but over time, I’ve grown far more intrigued by golden-ratio rhombuses, which reflect the deep harmonics of Fibonacci structure. I plan to explain this geometry obsession further in my upcoming documentary. For now, I’ll just say : even as I honor the past work, I feel a renewed clarity and excitement for the present. This new banner expresses my love for the way geometric forms generate, transform, and co-create with each other—an ever-evolving language of unity, echoing through the pattern architecture of the natural world.
