super sick and doctor figuring out why

It's so much to be sick. I'm really really super sick with a cold :( It's totally one of those huge colds :( Thankfully, when the cold was starting to announce itself as serious, I was able to work out an arrangement to get my rent covered by the best human being on this planet (my angel). And that turned getting sick from being basically the end of my fucking life, to it being only sick and not the end of the world. Cause I was already 6 days late on the rent (which in my mind is due a month early but being that late doesn't look good for how the rest of the month will flesh out). That allowed me to buy sick girl supplies like ginger and C+ immunity boost shooters and stuff. And I tried a mushroom elixer root beer, and it was incredible, especially with the hardcore ginger shooter. And I got what I need to be on a cleaner diet, with the little money I had. I just lowered wheat and got more into eggs. And I got some benalyn cough syrup for phleugm and that's been a huge new favourite of mine, as well as neo citran which I also love. Plus, I was still able to work sick to some extent (not the full extent) and this was very helpful as well which allowed me to buy some supplies for The 7 of 9 which was a huge boost in my life.

Anyway, money things aside, it was just so weird that I got this cold cause for years now I haven't been getting colds all thanks to probiotics resolving what used to be a vulnerability to getting colds often. And I had theorized that it was because of the recent detox of candida due to a course of antifungal fluconazole which can cause toxins to fill the system. But it was just a weird thing — my tongue infection that I was using the fluconazole to treat was practically all better finally during the course, but for some weird reason 3 days after the course, it massively flared up to really bad and I got a huge yeast infection, which is the total opposite of what I'd expect right after an intensive antifungal treatment. So I was totally looking forward to seeing the doctor today and thankfully, this gave her a clue. She decided to stop continually prescribing fluconazole (and let me take it just as needed from over the counter) and instead of doing huge doses of it, get me tested for gluten intolerance.

I know this is just an imagination, but here's what I pictured when she explained this way that gluten intolerance can inflame the gut lining and cause these issues : I imagined, because of inflammation, the gut no longer works just as a whole, but as separated sections. It could be the fluconazole treatment didn't reach a section that was (due to inflammation) sectioned off from the rest to some degree, and when it randomly kinda released with that one section area, that released a stored amount of candida that had not been treated, into the whole gut.

So I'll just be curious how those tests come out. Also, with the sodium thing going on (as I mentioned in a previous post that my sodium was way too high due to an accident), she decided to also test my vitamin levels including sodium, since it's been quite a while since we did test those, and she'd be interested to see how things are looking at this point. Because having sodium levels too high can also affect gut health. And I'll be curious to see if I'm actually gluten intolerant — it's quite possible that I'm not and it was just the sodium. I sure hope so. I have to eat a little bit of wheat each day to make sure the tests go properly, but I'm not worried about it. I'm a waffle fanatic so I sure hope this won't get in the way of my waffle dreams if I'm gluten intolerant.

So the simple version of what happened really with the doctor today might be called, she saw that I was sick right now and just didn't want to do much with me other than check around, cause it's not good to be taking medications when sick.

I really love my doctor and I find it honestly very reassuring and comforting to have seen her today. Right now while I'm feeling so rough, she was just the anchor I needed.
