Increasingly I've been getting better from my cold and today, thankfully, I was barely blowing my nose. Only yesterday I was occasionally blowing my nose for like 15 minutes straight which is a VERY long time actually, but today, like nothing. Although yesterday I started getting some gastrointestinitis — although possibly it is just gut irritation from the crazy process of clearing the candida with so much fluconazole in all these weird stages as combined with my period which is now starting. Certain hormones at the onset of the period can exaggerate gut sensitivities if it's going on. Whatever the case, yesterday pepto bismol was enough to get it under control (although I've never taken that much). But today it was not enough so I actually switched to immodium for the first time I've ever tried it, and I'm very impressed with the results. I can't believe I got that so rock solid under control after how bad it was, using immodium. Normally this would have prevented me from working to make money but I actually worked today and I was 100% fine (lol) — I'm telling you it was a miracle (lol).
This was my very first time ever trying drug store medications for a cold, and it's a whole new world. I can't believe it !!!! It's mindblowing just what a wonderfully nursed time you can have through symptom relief with stuff like this (lol). In the past I've always had a thought like "symptom relief, that's not healing, and who knows what's in that stuff", but I must say, I'm basically so converted now (lol).
I also just want to say, I cannot even tell you how much I love that Benalyn cough syrup. I've heard of people taking cough syrup as a drug, and now I can understand why it's popular like that (lol). I think I mentioned in an earlier post, it takes that stanky sinus nasty feeling and destroys it just like that. But something else I want to mention. Through this whole entire cold, blowing my nose for AGES like 20 minute sessions at a time nonstop has been so much — and I'm shocked that I never had any green in the tissues. In fact I didn't even see any yellow actually. I think this Benalyn keeps it clear and keeps it flowing all lubricated in this really cool way. Honestly it's so next level for comfort during a cold like this. And I heard that Buckley's "tastes nasty but it works", but I have to say, the taste alone is enough to convince me into taking it — even that — just as a joie de vie during a hard time.
