In response to my recent entry in The 7 of 9 Process Artifact Journal — TRANSFORMING AND ARCHITECTING THE PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT PLAN & ASSESSING 7 OF 9 CARD PRODUCTION COSTS — a person I had never spoken to before reached out to me with an absolutely gorgeous gesture. They offered to fund the remaining $240 CAD which I cited in that entry that I would need in order to complete the full prototype !! )))) And there was no request for (or dream of) donations in that entry. Now, that donation is received and I've ordered all the materials. So all I have to do now is design it, and it will be manifested.
I was absolutely blown away — I couldn't believe this was really happening. This is the first donation that I've received towards UNITY LIFE Mystery School and it was not only unsolicited completely but came with the most pure of intentions. The person was very forward about their motivations. They decided to explain by offering a reading in audio format from Rick Rubin's book about creativity and the artist.
It was a mindblowing passage that happened to coincide with a dream and some profound insights I'd been having about The 7 of 9 — as well as the whole UNITY LIFE ethos.
The minimalism and depth of reading from such a gorgeous passage as the way to express motivations was beyond grounding. Of course, whenever I might receive money from someone I don't know, there are always protocols to ensure that nothing is harmful. The beauty of this was that intentions were offered in the most gorgeous way before I could even ask questions.
The dream about The 7 of 9 that their reading conicided with is recorded in The UNITY LIFE Dream Diary. It was technically a nightmare but was so intellectually stimulating, powerfully supportive and beautiful in its dark way that I was very grateful for the experience.
It's called NIGHTMARE ◊ THE HIERARCHY OF VALUE ◊ The 7 of 9 ⨺ SOLVE COAGULA Mind Map System (Prototype). In celebration of this donation I think I'll find a way to double it into this Process Artifact Journal to commemorate it. To summarize, the nightmare involved themes of censorship and programming, set within a learning setting which resembled George Orwell's future distopian classic, 1984. Police of this terrifying mind-control state from 1984 brutally ordered me to read a book called The Hierarchy of Value — a term which I had specifically used to explain why I have designed The 7 of 9 the way I have.
The SOLVE ⨺ 18(36) and COAGULA ⨺ 27(54) sets both span over a 7 stage transformational process of alchemy, as well as 7 main power institutions. The darkest of these stages of alchemy is coined along with the Financial Sector, and the one most in the light is the mass media (such as Rick Rubin), as illustrated by The COAGULA. My artistic statement in the use of the term 'Hierarchy of Value' has been that a more grounded way of describing these qualities "in the light" or "in the darkness" would be this : The greatest institution is that which offers the most authentic aka ethical value to the world around it, while causing the least harm. Considering the theme of a donation to UNITY LIFE, this is poignant.
The topic of Rick Rubin's excerpt coincided deeply with one of the books in real life called The Hierarchy of Value, which I researched in response to the nightmare after waking up. There were 3 books whose titles vaguely resembled that phrase — 2 helped to illustrate my views by agreeing with me but 1 illustrated my views through a misguided opposite of the wisdom I see as valuable. All of it was worth exploring, but the book which Rick's excerpt related to was this :
"The Cognitive Hierarchy of Value is a forthcoming academic paper by Abolhassan Ali Eslami indexed on PhilPapers — not (so far) a full book published by a major press. Rather, it appears as a scholarly manuscript that is in the process of publication. The author introduces a framework called the “cognitive hierarchy of value.” In this context : Cognitive Hierarchy of Value isn’t about social status or moral rank like in social anthropology ; instead, it’s a conceptual hierarchy based on how value is recognized and sustained in human cognition — that is, how people’s mental processes give rise to experiences of value. The paper’s core argument uses this hierarchy to analyze money and value perception:
-
Modern fiat currencies (e.g., everyday government-issued money) are so convenient that they require little mental effort to use, which can lead to “value awareness” fading — meaning people may stop fully engaging with or appreciating the value behind economic transactions.
-
This reduced cognitive effort, according to Eslami, may lead to impulsive consumption and undervaluation of goods, even degrading quality over time as people pay less attention to what they value."
Contemplating this UNITY LIFE Dream Diary archive after it was published, I thought my followers on instagram would appreciate that particular thesis. It really explains how the Financial Sector has destroyed the world, in such a way which everyone so easily forgets and takes for granted. It can be so empowering to sometimes bring light to overlooked, deeply underlying facts of life. In this case, it takes the notion that the Financial Sector is directly responsible for destroying the world from looking like a dramatic conspiracy theory to being fully, sensibly exposed. It's mindblowing sometimes to remember that a system such as monetary currency is so old and deeply embedded that we never second guess its true ethical value.
I've often felt that the reason people aren't generous in this way with me more often — just as a beautiful act of giving designed to support beautiful things to flourish in this world — seems to come from that exact degraded psychological landscape that Eslami described in hs paper. That's why the media oriented Rick Rubin excerpt and the love and respect so inherent and obvious to this donation not only touched my heart, but illustrated my truth about how art culture is medicine for a struggling world.
The Rick Rubin reading continued on to illustrate this UNITY LIFE theme of medicine and ecology. Ecology was used as a grand metaphor for the truth of an artist's intentions, just as I constantly strive to do throughout the whole of UNITY LIFE Mystery School. I identify as a part of the mass media in this way. Very prominently, I'm constantly seeing that kind of outlook hidden in the codes and folds of my favorite artists' works, such as Marilyn Manson, 30 Seconds to Mars, NIRVANA and so many other greats — and always striving to bring a voice to this visionary and ecological lens on mass consumed art.
Needless to say, this donation will go down in UNITY LIFE history and become fully legendary. I truly look forward to showing you and this donor the gorgeous, next level prototype cards as they will appear in a most exquisite format, when they are first born.
