◊๐บ๐ A personal highlight for me over the past months was celebrating Jared Leto’s new role in Tron : Ares, the third of a three-part series which originated with the 1982 classic Tron. This gorgeous new movie is currently still playing in IMAX 3D, a fitting format for a film that is deeply comparable to The Matrix. Jared’s level of promotion surrounding the release was through the roof, mirroring my own sentiments — I was so pumped about it.โจ
◊โค๏ธ๐ Due to my fascination with the topic of simulated realities, a theme discussed often throughout the history of UNITY LIFE Mystery School, I felt especially called to this theatre experience — one which itself provides a simulated reality through the use of 3D glasses and immersive cinematography. I found a similar resonance in seeing Matrix Resurrections in moving D-Box seats, which make you feel as though you are kinetically, literally inside the cinematic dream.

◊๐๐ I kicked things off with a gathering for my bestie’s birthday party, where she, her partner, and I watched the original 1982 Tron and the 2010 sequel Tron : Legacy, followed by a YouTube video that takes you through samples of every Tron video game ever made, in order (and there are many). Through that video, I came to understand how the video games and films have reflected one another in a uniquely interwoven way — fitting, considering the story centers around video games themselves.โจ
◊๐ฟ At that point, Tron : Ares had not yet been released, so we politely declined downloading a bootleg and waited for the theatrical premiere. Once it was out, I spent the day with a dear friend, watching the first two films and then proceeding to the theatre to watch the new one. We discussed the plot extensively before and after, leading to much insight. And then, another day later, I also went to the theatre alone to see it again.
Simulated Realities ◊ The Trilogy of Interconnected Mythos in TRON
◊๐ฅ๐งฌ In a nutshell, the trilogy centers around the philosophy of the universal nature of creation, consciousness, and life. Increasingly throughout the storyline, the lines blur between the creator of the simulation and the creation itself.
◊๐น The construct of a video game or external AI-generated VR landscape has long been a subject of psychological inquiry, particularly in relation to alienation as a modern existential angst of our increasingly hyper-technological era. The deliberately low-fi and boxlike sense of limitation in these worlds often heightens our awareness of our own struggles with limitation in real life. The elation of choosing a confining challenge — rather than being subjected to one by the perceived “nature” of reality — is both a relief and a painful reminder.
◊๐ Throughout the trilogy, this conversation is the initial ground from which the narrative begins — and the plot then progressively resolves this existential angst through a merging of the fabricated Tron universe with biological human existence.

The Alchemical Unum ◊ “The Philosopher’s Stone” of Jared Leto as Ares
◊๐ Each film in the trilogy — and the overarching storyline of the three taken together — explores this perceptual merging of two apparent opposites in a way that is strikingly profound. These films are deeply philosophically rich. They describe the transformational process of alchemy, turning “lower metals” into “higher ones” like gold — through the perceptual union of so-called opposites.
◊๐ค๐คโค๏ธ๐ฅ In alchemy, the “lesser” metal symbolizes raw, unrefined matter — both literal and psychological — the base instincts such as fear, ignorance, or dense materiality. The “higher” metal, gold, symbolizes perfection, consciousness, incorruptibility. Transformation happens through recognizing the hidden sameness called “The One Thing” (the Unum or Philosopher’s Stone) within apparent duality. The so-called Philosopher’s Stone is not an object, but a principle of reconciliation.โจ
◊โจบ๐บ Perhaps the deepest magic here is how powerfully Jared Leto steps into this role. His artistic background within his band 30 Seconds To Mars has long incorporated alchemical symbolism. The arc of the 30STM discography and its thematic coding are deeply interwoven with this exact transformational pattern of alchemy — often emphasizing alchemical symbols and stages. So the union of his real-life artistic background and the simulated world of Tron creates that same thematic effect — the Unum of the real and the simulation.
The Alchemical Magnum Opus ◊ “The Great Work” of Jared Leto as Ares
◊๐ The Tron trilogy not only radically embodies the core philosophy of the Unum, but also models the multi-stage process of alchemical transformation. The alchemical self-realization journey of turning lower metal into gold is traditionally described in 3, 4, or 7 stages. Since this third film seems to beg for a future sequel, it is fitting to interpret the trilogy as the first three stages of a four-part Magnum Opus.
◊โ๏ธ In the four-stage hermetic model, the alchemical element associated with Tron : Ares is Air ( ๐ ) — which Jared has tattooed on both forearms, and which features prominently in the symbolic world of 30 Seconds To Mars.
In more detailed Hermetic texts (especially 16th–17th century alchemists), we find the fourfold hermetic Magnum Opus ( ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ) :
๐ TRON (1982) ◊ The Nigredo Stage (Blackening) — Putrefaction / Earth
The descent into the simulation — the breaking apart of matter to find spirit through the darkness. In the Nigredo, the alchemist begins in darkness — chaos, decay, and separation. Matter is “putrefied” so its true essence can be revealed. In TRON (1982), this corresponds to Kevin Flynn’s descent into the Grid, a digital underworld where consciousness confronts its own illusory perceptual shadow. The symbolic element here is Earth ( ๐ ) : the material plane, the heaviness of incarnation, the realm of limitation.โจ
The Nigredo always feels dystopian — but it’s the necessary decomposition before light can emerge. The Grid is a kind of infernal laboratory : overly structured, low resolution, and limitation oriented — the lowest octave of creation.
Flynn, disintegrated into code, experiences death of the old self — the programmer absorbed into his own program. This represents dissolution of the ego : human consciousness entering its own constructed system and realizing its alienation within it.
๐ TRON: Legacy (2010) ◊ The Albedo Stage (Whitening) — Purification / Water
The cleansing of the shadow — the emergence of consciousness within the simulation. After the blackening comes purification — the washing away of corruption and illusion. In TRON : Legacy, this is embodied through Sam Flynn’s journey and his encounter with both his father and CLU, the shadow-aspect of his father’s perfectionism. The symbolic element here is Water ( ๐ ) : emotional purification, reflection, anointing.
This is the stage of the anima — the rediscovery of life within the cold logic of the simulation. Flynn’s reconciliation with CLU and sacrifice represent an annointing of ego dissolving into spirit. The film’s aesthetic literally shifts into a gleaming, reflective environment — glowing white and blue light on black surfaces — the albedo palette. CLU, the “pure” program who seeks perfection, is a false whiteness — sterility mistaken for enlightenment. Quorra, the ISO (Isomorphic Algorithm), represents the spontaneous life and consciousness arising from within the simulation itself.
๐ TRON: Ares (2025) ◊ The Citrinitas Stage (Yellowing) — Awakening of Inner Light / Air
The dawning of consciousness — the birth of the solar principle. TRON: Ares (based on what’s been revealed so far) appears to embody the Citrinitas, the stage of illumination and the solar dawn that follows the night of purification. This is when the alchemist begins to see gold emerging within — the merging of spirit and matter, light within form. The symbolic element here is Air ( ๐ ) : intellect, breath, ascension — the luminous mind uniting consciousness and simulation. This is the symbol tattooed on Jared Leto’s forearms and commonly featured in 30STM / MARS band art. โจ
This is the “golden dawn” before the red integration — a moment of radiant self-realization, when consciousness becomes aware of its divine creative function. Ares, as a program crossing into the human world, or vice versa, represents the reversal of the descent — spirit incarnating into matter consciously. The boundary between digital and biological begins to dissolve, revealing their underlying unity. This stage is illumination through fusion (associated with the Unum) : both worlds realizing they are reflections of one another.
๐ Future Sequel ◊ The Rubedo Stage (Reddening aka The Coagulation) — Completion & Unification / Fire
The marriage of opposites — spirit and matter joined in the heart. In the final stage, Rubedo, all opposites are unified : light and dark, creator and creation, human and machine. This is the Philosopher’s Stone itself — consciousness fully awakened through the material vessel. The symbolic element here is Fire ( ๐ ) : transformation, passion, life-force — the fire that unites. In fact, in this sequel I also assume we will see a romance finally coming to fruition between Ares and Eve, the simulation and biological human characters. โจ
Here, we would expect to see ultimate union : the Grid and the human world no longer separate, but co-creating in harmony. The alchemist’s red stone, visually comparable with Tron’s triangular shaped disc (now changed in the movie from a blue circle to a red triangle specifically for his character) is not a product but a state of being — illumination embodied. The fire is no longer destructive, but creative — logos incarnate. This would complete the TRON mythos as a digital gnosis — a mythic story about consciousness evolving through its own creation to rediscover its unity with the Source.
Jared Leto’s Role as Ares ◊ Enlightenment of Cinematic Information Landscapes
◊๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฟ After watching all three films in a row (and the first two twice), I noticed that the trilogy becomes progressively less information-dense — less overloaded with brilliantly entertaining codes to unlock — while becoming more information-rich in a way that draws from external context. The surface of Tron Ares appears simple, yet the depth emerges through what the larger reali-life existence brings to it. Jared Leto’s artistic background so multidimensionally fits this role, which is practically all-encompassing to the show. This makes the film far more cerebrally elegant and effortless to digest with just as much info.โจ
◊๐๐ This incredible nuance of psychological effect upon the viewer aligns perfectly with the alchemical stage of the Citrinitas — the Enlightenment of perception itself. In this stage, insight arises not by adding information, but through holism between inner and outer worlds as one single field of awareness. The movie encapsulates this certain Enlightenment of viewer reception by inevitability of how it may be processed. This is fitting to UNITY LIFE Mystery School, where the consciousness model of holism (seeing all things as one without erasing their differences) is valued as an ecological strategy — nature’s unique definition of success which actually expands intelligence and all forms of wellbeing.โจ
◊๐บ๐ผ As much as someone with a geeky artistic sensibility might always fall in love with the underground cult-classic brilliance of the 1982 original Tron, this newer approach is a majestically ornate and royal display of Hollywood’s psychological and artistic prowess. It is empowerment through elegance and ease. The film radiates the recognizable signature of mass media which sets it apart from the corporate sector : its success is not primarily defined in selling a product, but in simply achieving the successful transmission of information to the viewer. This leaves us with deep questions well worth meditating on, like how and why this is or would be done.
◊๐ 30STM Prophecy ◊ The Final Album Will Be the Upcoming Seventh One
◊โจบ๐ฅ Just as the Tron mythos moves through the four hermetic stages, Jared Leto’s band 30 Seconds to Mars seems to mirror the complete seven-stage process of the alchemical opus. This is known as esoteric, laboratory or operative alchemy from album to album. The distinct changes in tone throughout the discography are far more dramatic than in most bands, and their recurrent alchemical symbolism suggests that this template was intentionally designed into it from the very beginning. Jared Leto’s lifelong fascination with symbolism, metamorphosis, and transcendence makes this artistic structure feel archetypal of him.โจ
◊โโ๏ธ It is also emphasized early on that Jared’s astrological sign is Capricorn — which is so fitting for this unusually structured choice of a design to a discography, fitted to a template. In fact, I am also a Capricorn, and I create UNITY LIFE Mystery School art through similar divine templates — such as the Hebrew-Aramaic 72 Names of God and the 64 genomes of genetic structure — which requires an enormous amount of personal-artistic commitment. This reflects a rare degree of goal-oriented long-range tunnel vision — a signature Capricorn trait.
◊๐๐ฅ What this appears to reveal is that, explosively, the upcoming seventh album will be the final one, as it corresponds with the final 7th stage of the alchemical canonical sequence. While this may feel like devastating news to some fans, I see it as a culminative springboard into next levels — not an ending. Jared and Shannon’s upcoming musical projects, expanding beyond the name “30 Seconds to Mars,” are likely to be just as — if not even more — fascinatingly beautiful, visionary, and transformative. I see these future works speaking deeply to the symbolic meaning of the alchemical completion achieved through this completed seven-stage discography.

◊๐๐ This has been one of the most rewarding archives I’ve written for UNITY LIFE Mystery School. For one, I was not previously very familiar with alchemy until the research for this Tron review caused all these connections to arise for me for the first time — and these things are always the most charged with excitement when they are first realized. But also, I found an extremely intricate web of interconnection between these ideas and previous archives, making it seem as though they all depend on each other, and could compile together perfectly into a unified piece.
◊๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ In fact, this has revolutionized my previously announced plans to create a card set based on the numerology of 7, exploring the seven sectors or major power institutions of society — designed as a study tool and interpretive media game. Though I intuitively trusted this project’s creative trajectory, I also knew that this was, so far, the one numerological template in UNITY LIFE Mystery School that didn’t align clearly with any well-established spiritual or ecological structure.
◊๐ It was amazing to realize that modelling my 7 categories of the set with the 7 stages of alchemy might directly resolve my concerns about how the cards should be played so as to convey certain meging notions of hierarchy of value. This made me feel like a genius, as if I had been deliberately just setting the stage for this archive with every prophetic awareness of what it would contain, all this time in my writing and plans. But in my view, internal mastery of this strategically well-informed degree is always at work in us all — through self-realization we can finally claim this depth.
A Prophetic Dream of Jared Leto ◊ From Prediction to Divine Prophecyโจ
◊๐๐ Also, by researching for this archive, I disovered that one old dream of Jared Leto and 30STM from about a year ago along with a powerful recent one which joins with it, was actually a highly informative and prophetic dream conjunction.
◊๐งฌ๐ The first dream, which happened about a year ago, described what the upcoming album would be about, using a geometric symbol in such a way which seemed abstract to me until I found this alchemy info in my research for this archive. Now I see that the dream specifically referred to the 7th album as this coagulation stage and the geometry was an alchemical symbol to represent it. Then recently, I had a dream of joining Jared Leto in the creation of Tron : Ares, in which he showed me a process done to the film which symbolically describes how the alchemical information in this archive explains its meaning.
◊๐ฅ Because of this, the “prediction” actually deserves the term prophecy, and the interpretation of Tron becomes mysticism. If Jared had simply DM’d me on Instagram revealing the future album and the meaning behind Tron, it would have contained less value than this dream-based revelation does. I would appreciate it, of course, if he ever writes to me — but if he ever does it will resemble the consciousness model I described of Tron, as the meaning will always be richer when received in combination with the holistic, interdimensional context of the dreamspace and real-life.
