Description of the Dream
◊☦️❤️🔥 In mid October 2025 I had a powerful, mystic dream in which Christ appeared to me as Jared Leto, presenting his hands cupping to hold a very specific modified Byzantine cross which had once been released by 30 Seconds To Mars in their artwork — though I was not yet at all familliar with the orthodox Byzantine cross or their artwork. The cross was outstretched horizontally across his hands, reversed both ways on the vertical axis as you see it. It was not two crosses transposed on each other as a double image but as a dream-seeing where I “saw” / knew it to be reversed two ways.
◊🔑 In the dream, Christ / Jared guided my attention, introducing me to the cross. Together, we zoomed in on the bottom horizontal angled line, and this is how I remember that it was angled in the way that 30 Seconds To Mars released it in their artwork. The band’s modification of the cross involved changing the angle of the lower horizontal line to tilt the other way. He showed me the angle of that line, then focusing on either side of that line, which was angled on the edges as I have specifically cut the image differently than how they released it, while still retaining the meaning. He conveyed to me that the outer edge angles were intended as beautiful, creative, unique and visionary — similar to some of my favourite aesthetics.
◊🕊 The understanding in the dream was clearly that this was Christ, appearing intentionally as Jared Leto, and so I viewed them as the dual directions of the cross — not as two transposed onto each other but as simultaneous seeing of one image which I knew contained these two identities.
Here is a piece of artwork I created, inspired by this dream. The 30STM ornament I created about this was similar to another I had created of one of Marilyn Manson's double cross logos, and so I overlaid the two ornaments. You can see here also, how this MM ornament was used with the 30STM logo on my 2025 Halloween jackolantern shortly after this dream had occurred. I later decorated my wall with these pieces surrounding my autographed photo of Manson.
◊2️⃣ While dreaming I assumed this vertical dual-reversal to be a reference to Marilyn Manson who deeply investigates this theme of upper and lower polarity in his art, in such a way which strikingly aligns with the investigation of alchemy throughout the 30STM discography. This MM reference was viewed then as also a reference to a series of UNITY LIFE Archives that I am currently working on which continually compare the two artists, MM and Jared Leto. In my mind I have often explored these two as a perfect dual mirror to each other and creatively or mystically imagined the blending of their identities. Intuitively I felt in that moment that this continued to enhance the theme of Christ / Jared Leto, as MM has often been compared to Christ.
Orthodox Interpretation of the Byzantine Cross
◊☦️⚖️💎 The lower horizontal line which was angled in the other direction by 30STM, in orthodox symbolism of the Byzantine cross, symbolizes the judgment (damnation and salvation) of the two thieves who were crucified to the left and right of Jesus (often traditionally called Dismas and Gestas).
◊📖 The story appears primarily in Luke 23:39–43 : Gestas says to Jesus while they all hang on the cross : “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!”. Then, Dismas says to Gestas : “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he says to Jesus : “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus then replies with one of the most striking sentences in the Gospels : “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” This is the only time in the Gospels when Jesus explicitly promises Paradise immediately.
My Own Interpretation of the Byzantine Cross Scriptures
◊⚖️🪩 As a child, learning that Bible story when growing up as the daughter of an Anglican minister, I always assumed that Jesus was speaking to both Dismas and Gestas, promising them both salvation, since Dismas has brought the question in reference to them both. However, only recently in December 2025 have I learned of the Byzantine cross at all, since I was never primarily educated about the orthodox — along with the history that orthodox theology has interpreted Jesus’ words as damnation against Gestas and salvation for Dismas.
Interpretation of the 30STM Byzantine Cross Variation
◊🔑💫 Unlike my theory that both Dismas and Gestas were promised salvation, it seems that 30STM has taken an artistic approach with this cross which doesn’t offer opinion or Biblical interpretation so much as a powerful contemplation tool which expands on the themes of their music. By reversing this angle, the band’s symbol appears to question the reliability of outward judgment altogether, suggesting that inner truth and external behavior may be misaligned. Rather than depicting divine judgment, the inverted slant critiques human perception — our tendency to moralize surfaces, misunderstand interior struggle, and mistake words (or outer performance) for inner truth.
◊⚖️🪞 In this reading, the cross replaces judgement with the mirror, consistent with 30STM’s recurring themes of interrogating identity, perception, and the gap between inner truth and outward appearance.
◊💿💿💿💿💿💿💿 Across their discography, the band explores duality, masks, rebirth, and the struggle to remain authentic within systems that distort or commodify the self. Lyrics often frame the individual as divided — caught between who they are, who they are seen as, and who they are allowed to be — while visually the band embraces symbols of secrecy, inversion, and transformation. The symbol echoes the band’s interests in misrecognition — by institutions, by audiences, and by culture at large — and reinforces their message that truth is interior, fluid, and often hidden from view.
Another Part of the Dream
◊🎭🖤🖤 Previous to this part of the dream in which Jared Leto appeared as Christ, there was another part in which he was appearing only as Jared. It was Halloween, and I was in a room — a well-known dance space which I had recently decorated for a Halloween party with friends. As a spirit appearing in a size that filled the room, looking like green, blacklight active fog, Jared’s face formed out of this spriitual vapour, changing from one scary Halloween character into another until resembling Jared’s real face. This image of his face then became a mask of his face, which he conveyed to me in thought was his real face as the mask. In later reflection, I feel this earlier part of the dream thematically ties in perfectly with the my interpretation of the 30STM cross.

In this piece I will also share 2 other dreams about Jared and the band, which turned out through later information I found to be prophetic of their upcoming album and the movie Tron : Ares, as well as my own archives about this topic which I did not yet anticipate. This is very similar to the one I have explained here.
◊🔮 Already I had been planning to include this one in that archive, but at the time of my plan I was not aware that the symbol in the dream was 30STM artwork. This way, the dream itself also fits into the category of prophecy. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy : By the dream inspiring me to add this to the archive even without knowing that its theme would align perfectly with the other 2 dreams, it served as prophecy that it would. From seed to flower, the choice was there at the start even without fruition. By how well it fits with the archive thanks to this revelatory information in my research, it is the same kind of story as what happened with the other dreams.
The Creation of an Ornament and Despacho Cross-Burning
◊☦️🔑 To explore the depth of this dream experience, and to go with another gold ornament I had made of Marilyn Manson’s cross which served as his logo during the Heaven Upside Down album era, I created a gold ornament of the cross I saw in my vision exactly. For symbolic reasons associated with Ayahuasca traditions, I used the backing of a smoked salmon fish package to create this. However, by tracing the image onto the back in order to achieve it, I accidentally created it as the orthodox Byzantine cross instead of the 30STM version. I tried flipping my photos of it horizontally to resolve the issue, but instead decided to redo the ornament physically.
◊💐🔥 In response to that, I’ve decided to burn the first accidental version in an upcoming despacho traditional burnt offering ceremony which I’ve been saving flowers and candy for. This will be my first time burning a Christian cross in my life, and I’m amazed to realize that there is a way of doing that which is not necessarily an act of defiance against the church. Any negative energy, shame / unfair condemnation, or psychic wounds in play, in the significance of the cross will be healed and transmuted by the master plant teachers who support the healing work of the despacho. At the same time, any truly healing or positive, beneficial spiritual meanings will be amplified.

◊🧬🕊 It’s an honour to share this dream as the first of many now to be added to the new dream journal category of the UNITY LIFE Archive. As you can see here, some dreams are more than just an experience. They almost act as a spiritual initiation or at least a life changing event. They can bring incredible new dimension and territory to existing facts out in the world. As a mystic arist and Ayahuasqera medicine woman, dreams play an important role in my unique cosmological worldview. For me, contextualizing my insights into the mainstream entertainment media with my dreams has been a powerful way to ensure that the potency of my writing is completely original and unable to be found anywhere else.
