◊ Lately I’ve been having the distinct impression that there are less Echelon in the @30secondstomars online community than I thought — the population has gone way down in my mind now that I’m realizing there are so many robots posing as fans.
◊ The band did mention that (as is common knowledge) a lot of their ticket sales are from robots too, and I think of a concert in which it’s sold out but only half full and that fully describes how I feel right now in the Echelon (lol).
◊ And lately I’ve been getting really suspicious of it when I see mars accts with people and it’s full of AI generated images of them like kissing and making out with Jared and cuddling and it says “lovers” and stuff. Like totally honest with you, that strikes me as fake, and I’ve seen accts like that spreading lies about Jared twice now.
◊ And I’ve seen YouTube critiques of Jared’s character that base their argument on the idea that women in the Echelon are fantasizing of themselves as being with him and I’ve noticed the fake accts look like an engineered fabrication for those exact purposes so that it can be used to say he’s manipulated women.
◊ I really have looked a lot at the idea of a female fan literally falling in love with a star, and I have seen many fascinating examples that look real, but none that looked real to me had super cheesy atmosphere, like so overdone, so overemphasized, so shallow. Like your whole acct is AI pictures of you kissing him? Even one kissing picture and I realize that’s extreme.
◊ It stands to reason that if anyone thought they might have a chance with Jared for real, they would be holding that closer to their heart, not projecting it. And if they didn’t think so, they would find it painful to constantly overcrank that theme in public. I think they’d seem way more like insecure and trying to claim “JK JK JK” (lol).
◊ And I see Jared Leto facebook groups have a way higher volume of obvious duh whatsapp cheap scams that are framed around trying to trick women into thinking he’s messaging them that he wants to marry. And I don’t think that would realistically pull in any income cause it’s so prevalent and so fake looking.
◊ I think it might have other motives with that theme, than what it’s supposedly supposed to look like, as if say it’s some third world scammers just trying to make pennies for grain. Like plus, how do they have access to AI image making if they are that poor?
◊ But I do see some robots saying things like that Jared never has his phone, Jared’s team handles all his interactions, he’s not even on his own phone. And I really worry for anyone who believes that because what if someone could convince a girl they really are Jared from another phone?
◊ Because the thing I worry about is about way more driven types of scammers who can do much more convincing deepfakes and much more elaborate pieces, and sound really convincing when they text or message someone saying they are Jared and the reason he’s not online on his official right now is “I never have my phone”.
◊ Like as if this is supposed to be sooooo saavy to know that public figures have a staff to help them with social media — means they don’t even have their phone. It’s not. Social media staff has other devices of their own they can log in from.
◊ And I saw this one robot who was claiming that thing about his phone and I knew it was fake — but other robots started arguing that she’s a real person, plus real people were convinced. So I had to understand why she was hurling insults at Jared, and I realized it looks like she may have been victim to a scam of that nature — one which she is promoting and seeding into the community.
◊ And one robot tells me today “Oh I’ve talked to Jared so much indepth as a makeup artist” and tells me he’s just a very jealous person in general and “everyone thinks that” and I just think “OMFG” like RIGHT AWAY that’s so suspicious but how do I explain to people they need to think critically and question if that’s true she is a real person or has met him?
◊ Also robots create a false sense of social consensus and you can go around “everyone thinks this or that of Jared” but keep in mind, “everyone” coudl just mean tons of robots are all driving a narrative, and it’s so tragic that just say that word “everyone says” and that’s supposed to be convincing.
◊ Critical thinking skills are not too common and it can be so easy to get sucked into some things when they are said semi convincingly but that person’s whole acct was covered in AI of her kissing Jared and stuff so I think that’s one tip, and I’m sorry — it’s an overwhelming task to discern, but one which is necessary.
