This location is such an EAST VAN hot spot. He also sells $1 sodas / waters. He makes the moon pies himself :)) I love buying these to give out as presents.

Yang and I went to the Burnaby Fair, and there were many wonders, including countless neon lit (beautiful) little food stands. Everything was insanely delicious. Huge food highlight ))

Nov 27, '22 : New India all you can eat was alright. I mean the prices were not exaggerated for an all you can eat place where the food is obviously going to be a bit cheap. It was fine. I kinda stopped going there eventually cause I noticed I was only going for the desserts, but no complaints :))
Apr 16, '22 : This ain't no average ugly pizza shot 😂😂. This was part of an artistic re-enactment of a favourite photo of Kurt Cobain where he was sitting in a hotel room with takeout at his side, holding a bouquet of flowers in a hotel room. I was at hotel for an Alice Cooper concert, and took advantage of the opportunity for an artistic re-enactment. This became part of an Alice Cooper video I created for UNITY LIFE, which also had a re-enactment of a scene from John & Yoko's Bed In For Peace. Kurt's half eaten takeout looked like Chinese, but I just got whatever food I felt like eating. Pizza Hut is by far my favourite pizza, and I've been a long time points collector there, enjoying many free pizzas. Only thing is, I wouldn't usually get the cookie cake unless it's a special occasion.

Apr 5, '22 : KFC in honour of the Foo Fighters promoting it, in combination with my interest in a South Park episode about the chain. FF's promotion of KFC was in the time approaching the FF band movie, Studio 666. As you can see, I was journalling in my scrapbook about this. Meat eating such as BBQ has been a big feature of Dave Grohl of NIRVANA / FF, and as you'll see in Studio 666, the band eating huge amounts of this type of food is part of the movie. That seems to be why they promoted it, along with the fact that Yum Co. which owns KFC is an excellent company with high ethical standards on their farms.

It was the location of Scaraoke, the mindblowingly iconic Halloween karaoke event held by Jefe Willitall, @mr_jefewillitall , husband of my dear friend Kiwi Estée @keelyestee )) Truly a hyper lit Karaoke night with Halloween costume competition < ] < ]
Jan 2, '26 : The annual tradish birthday cake as a joint cake to celebrate my (Dec 28) and Marilyn Manson's (Jan 5) birthdays which are close to each other, expanded this year to also include Jared Leto (Dec 26) ◊ I went super formal about it this time cause I was in the midst of a huge project creating the first prototype for The 7 of 9 in honor of their birthdays as a present for them <3 <3 )) It was delicious — definitely a better quality of cake from the SAFEWAY bakery — not their cheaper kinds )) :)) (sparkles).

I ordered the Vancouver style seared salmon sushi on the right, and Yang had the steak and tuna-avocado sushi roll on the left )) I tried Yang's and I liked mine better. Oct 31, '25 : My usual favourites at Tim Horton's, the pumpkins spice latée with extra whipped cream and the brookie. Hilarious job done by the TH lady that day on the whipped cream because she was tired. They also didn't have pumpkin spice that day, only syrup, which is unusual. That all said, the flaws of this experience are surely only in the photo that day, cause Tim Horton's is a place I love very dearly, and it is so close to my heart )) The prices there are just so respectful, as well as the quality of what they offer < ]* I can't say enough about it :)) I will have to say much more about Tim Horton's someday ✨

I think they changed it to Steelhead Trout now, and I must say, that's my favourite fish. It really is so yummy there )) < ] :)

It was a wonderful happy Valentine's that year so I get a lot of sentimental value from this image :)) ❤️
Dec 28, '21 : Literally the day of my birthday, I went to Take Thai Home on Commercial Dr, EAST VAN, Vancouver, for a delightful dinner of my favourite Tom Kha Gai with spring rolls and Thai Iced Tea with coconut milk )) I was so pleased with the service etc that I became a loyal regular to ordering their Thai dishes to my home online :))
Jan 8, '22 : To honour cupcakes themselves, I did up a birthday cupcake for my ongoing birthday celebrations :) But this was a lesson learned about quality of cupcakes. Just a grocery store bakery cupcake is never the level, in my experience.
Jan 9, '26 : Portrait of a 200 calorie meal. A half cup of Quaker Protein Waffle mix and zero calorie syrup, with stevia sugar icing powder. And this has 13g of protein. At first I found these tasted incredible but after having them every day for a long time, I found that they were a bit bland so I started adding Splenda to them, and it was incredible. Makes it like a waffle cookie, and it's so good even without syrup that I could have it as a travel cookie just cold and stored for a travel snack cause it's cheaper and lower calorie than protein bars you can buy on the road. Lookin GOOOOOD, all thanks to my Dad's generous birthday presents of all the stuff to make it so pretty :))))) < ] <3<3

Nov 30, '25 : I'm making low calorie protein waffles on a daily basis now to celebrate the story of my friend who actually had waffles with Dave, Krist and Kurt Cobain the morning after working with them in the studio, and after sleeping in the infamous greenhouse at Kurt's house. This is not the full picturesque version yet - later I will get this recipe so perfected and take great photos that look better.

Jan 16, '25 : Continuing to celebrate my birthday throughout the month, I went to an oldtime favourite of mine with Yang, The White Spot )) The salmon or trout burger they've always offered has history with me because it's the classic meal on the BCFerries I'd always usually get, between Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast, where most dine at The White Spot ferry restaurant during the 40 minute boat ride. All my friends who frequent that trip have deep sentimental connection with the White Spot as a result 😂😂. Their sundaes which are not served on the ferries, only at the regular restaurants, are insanely good <3 <3 ✨

Dec 22, '25 : This is Take Thai Home ordered into my place, in the usual format of how I would lay it out when it's to entertain a friend over for dinner. It's Tom Kha Gai with rice and Thai iced tea with coconut milk. Like I was always getting this exact meal ordered in all the time from this restaurant :)))) The calories are so reasonable, or I can skip the iced tea while watching my weight, so it's just a way to eat fancy that isn't too unsustainable to do more often < ] :) The prices as you can imagine at this place are completely standard, around $20 - 25 ish per person.
Oct 9, '23 : Thanksgiving dinner at my Dad's place. Such a sweet story !! Every year, a couple folks at the trailer park where he lives make up a massive thanksgiving dinner to give out a plate to everyone at the trailer park, to make sure everyone has a heartwarming feast )) This really touched all our hearts, most of us hardly able to process the kindess and generosity. And they do this every year. By the way, it was much more delicious than most thanksgiving meals - I mean literally to taste. I'm lucky I was there to experience it ❤️ ))

I enjoyed having my usual $5 SAFEWAY cake specially as birthday cake, most days during this time )) ◊🔥🔥 At one point I dedicated the cake to Marilyn Manson's birthday (Jan 5) as well as mine.

Apr 15, '22 : There is a KFC like 2 seconds away from my place, and this was the time when it was discovered, along iwth my huge interest in Alice Cooper with the AC concert coming up soon. As it were, Alice Cooper has met the Colonel himself and been pictured with him - literally THE original Colonel Sanders. They were staying at the same hotel and Alice really enjoyed the opportunity for a photo op with him. Certainly KFC is associated with Alice Cooper by fans due to this, and I myself love it. I'm a huge fan of this chain, which is owned by Yum Co. the same who own my favourite, Pizza Hut. You'd be so impressed by their animal cruelty and ethical standards at their farms if you look that up.
