This is an old piece I wrote about this artwork which I'd like to take inspiration from for my new upcoming writings about it :

TOBACCO SANCTUARY

Created as an exclusive for the CoSM Journal of Visionary Art & Culture, The Love Edition

This drawing was created in the vein of what I call Traditional Art of Ayahuasca medicine, especially inspired by the art of Pablo Amaringo. My view on why Pablo is considered a Traditional artist is not purely because he was an Ayahuasqero, but more properly explained : The Traditional process that he followed was to ask for special guidance and permission to bring through an art designed by the medicine to convey the teachings of the medicine. The Tradition here being essentially to listen to the medicine deeply and allow it to be the guide rather than trying to take the lead oneself.

This art also looks like Pablo’s work because the medicine likes to show the human practices of traditions and the vision teachings of Ayahuasca in order to teach the relationship between them. In this layout the visions are on top and the bottom half outlines Traditional practice of Tobacco Ayahuasca Shamanism particularly, with global visionary context to also include the Native American Aboriginal Traditions of Tobacco pipe prayer and peace pipe.

The vision on the top left extending to the flaming Tetragrammaton in the centre of the Tobacco plant symbolizes the original creation of Tobacco as part of the Earth Ecology by The Family Of Light. Tobacco is well aware of this truth. The top right vision shows profound & mystical Ayahuasca teachings of extraterrestrials, a norm in the art of Pablo Amaringo, as a medicine specialty teaching. In this unique case, the ET is related with human life as indicated by the sperm and egg of conception and DNA strand next to it.

The darker shaded radiance coming from the plant going downward is meant to mildly obscure the ability to see what is going in the practices, symbolizing protection. The Earth altar beneath the plant shows the giving to and receiving from the Earth. In Traditional Tobacco offering to the Earth (left, showing decomposition stages of Tobacco), the Mestizo shamans of Ayahuasca have outstanding lore of the benefits of this giving. On the right, psychedelic medicine is given to humanity from the Earth.

The top of the piece shows a 5 pointed star in the sky to mirror with the real 5 pointed star flowers that actually bloom from the Tobacco. The solid 5 pointed star, in striking contrast to its opposite, the pentagram, symbolizes the full bodied integrity of highest quality genetic composition. That is because of the 5 points being like the 5 digits on human hands and feet, and because of the completely filled in, robust body of the star. The blossoming flower version of that symbolizes the evolution of humanity, into the ultimate and final perfected form, of which Tobacco medicine is a prominent steward.

In the future, visionary teachers of Ayahuasca Tobacco Tradition of the highest quality in the world will come out of hiding and implement their medicine arranged longterm agenda to finally, safely and in formal extreme level of quality, bring sacred teachings of Tobacco medicine to the mainstream media, deeply integrated with the arts. These stars are people who deeply resonate with the symbol of the star and it is their agreement with Tobacco to profoundly honour the alignment between the flowers of its body and its teachings which they masterfully co-steward with the plants.
