◊ I was just discharged from the VGH Hospital for the second time in 2 weeks (both times in ambulance) — this time for a fully unrelated issue — major surgery for removal of my appendix. I was in there for 72 hours and this is my second day sleeping at home )) And there are more surgeries coming up.
◊ I had deactivated this acct a 3 or 4 days before I went into ER because I was feeling rushed with a sense that nothing I could post would be “good enough” or fit into a box of authoritative control somehow imposed on me — at that moment, my appendix was starting to rupture and I didn’t really feel the pain until 2 days later. I hope no one worried they were blocked. For reference, I also have my personal acct at @ba.adonai
◊ Previous to that I had been racked with feelings of hopelessness and despair which I found out were because I was severely anemic (temporarily due to blood loss at the hospital previously) and had a very low blood count / blood pressure. That’s after a few months of severe fatigue and ridiculously high & ongoing stress levels, which is part of the despair reasons.
◊ Right now I’m looking at more upcoming surgeries, but at least these are all going to be fully scheduled, planned and prepared for (lol). An unexpected ambulance to surgery experience is like nothing else !! These include removal of fibroids, repair of a hernia or removal of a cyst, and investigative surgery for a fistula and/or a cyst (most serious), and then one more small surgery. I will be asleep for most of the surgeries.
◊ I’m asking myself big questions about how to remain stable and keep my apartment over the coming time. There’s also a certain likelihood of more short, quick ER visits coming. As you might assume, I may be replying more slowly due to health.
