CO-CREATING A MICRO-NARRATIVE WITH 30STM AS I DREAM OF BECOMING THEIR STAFF

On May 10, 2026, I received a like and comment from 30 Seconds to Mars, in response to my comment about their music video STUCK. Here's the original post that the comment was on.  They were taking a close look at one particular dancer who starred among several others in the video.

I think the emoji they were using symbolizes hype — and in this case that actually meant a lot to me considering the context of things going on between us at the time. Not too long ago on April 8th, I had actually asked them to hire me for a job with a post tagging them on instagram. Also, just the day before, on May 9th, I had written a post on The 7 of 9 Process Artifact Journal further picturing myself as their staff and formalizing some details about my proposal and how I got this idea into my head, discussing this dream more indepth. So it was empowering the very next day to be greeted by this beautiful shared understanding communicated between us of just how perfect their staff always is for the job — which is exactly how I see myself. As an intermedia artist, with a certain specialty in documentation, I'm someone who records the story of my life, constantly feeding it into my art to create a background of rich, empowering context for each piece — often in a very autobiographical way. So this was especially meaningful.

The story between us is very multidimensional at this stage. 2 dimensions of unfolding narrative between us are 1) The information they're exposed to through my posts when I've tagged them, and 2) Their ability to also keep track of posts I've put up on the website, such as the 7 of 9 Process Artifact Journal (regarding The 7 of 9 which was dedicated to Jared Leto on his most recent birthday which he loved so much). The latter, I would assume would require a research team working for them to support logistics and present them with notes on things happening in the Echelon.

It's my understanding that this is the real way that they keep track of the massive, swarming Echelon community so well. I can imagine their notifications on instagram are usually just one notification for all their tags : "10 billion people tagged you", which would be very hard to navigate — and they don't follow anyone but they obviously stay connected ongoingly to their circle. To remember to routinely check in with everyone would be too hard considering not only their busy schedule, but of course also the sheer volume of people to keep track of.

I'm flattered that they seem to have asked their research team (or whatever it's called), to keep an eye on my posts. I have no proof that their interaction was in response to The 7 of 9 Process Artifact entry, but since quite a long time ago I've strongly intuited that they have had support to stay up to date on things like that. However, the reason I say that there are two narratives going on between us is because I believe it's sensitive information to some extent that they do have like a super-system looking into everything, and so they like to create a micro-narrative of the story between us.

In addition to the larger true story, the micro-narrative is always developing — one that implies strongly that everything which happened between us was essentially a result of me tagging them in posts, commenting, or when they read my story to indicate that they viewed my page. It's not dishonest, because both stories would be the same, only one is much more simply explained. And this supports public understanding of what is taking place between us and why — from the sensitivity to the fact that many are unaware of that type of logistical research ability and so would be mystified, stumped or resistent to stories that assume that underlying understanding.

Myself having this understanding of how they navigate high volume social media spaces as superstars, I have gained this knowledge through careful contemplation. Since it's logically freely available as a theory which only makes sense, I feel no concern about stating it here. Anyone could think of this themselves if they put their mind to it. But I wouldn't put that out on instagram most likely, unless I want to face some conflict here and there. It's just that in the modern surveillance age being watched without indication given of it can often trigger paranoia and discomfort. It's somewhat stigmatized. It's important for the band not to put out notice of that kind of info publicly and expect that to be understood, incase this would trigger a complex for some of their allies.

Plus, secrecy of some empowering tools and skills like this can serve the purpose of self-protection in this chaotic world. Sadly, I know any famous person does receive death threats and deals with stalkers a lot, so it's helpful not to put it out to the world that you'd be seeing aggressions like that coming a mile away, and be ready with a team to help you handle it with police at the ready. See, that way anyone seeking to attack somehow won't know that they should up their game if they plan to succeed in doing any significant harm. Instead they'll be caught at the perfect moment. I'm sure it's so professional with that side of things.

So coming back to the micro-narrative build. One thing I noticed was that their comment like and response arrived only 30 minutes after I had tagged them in a very sweet post. The post was pretty generic (which is not usually my style but I just made a cute exception). It was a badge from YouTube music saying that I had been recognized as within their top 0.08% of listeners out of a 7 million + audience. I really do think that's cute yet generic so I had a little laugh about the idea if say they only meant to like any comment of mine just to say thanks for the YouTube music badge post (lol). At that time I thought it was comedy to imagine so, but it did make me feel as though there was this narrative, like they just happened to be online, got the tag and were "Awwwwe :)))) — I want to interact with her now", and so it went.

That feeling was mostly thrown out — especially since the post I was commenting on was new anyway, so that was more likely a case of catching them amidst a scheduled time to interact with fans on that post. But that changed at our next interaction. That's when my idea was cemented  that they'd like to co-create an active micro-narrative between us. Right after this, I'm going to write another post of this nature to explain what happened today, May 26th. Long story short, it was only 30 minutes after I tagged them in something relevant about The 7 of 9 that they liked an older comment on a previous post. I could tell they were saving that comment to make sure they like it later right after I tag them again, in order to reinforce the pattern.

That's why I'm writing this post today. I found a connection between the two events which helped me find the words.
