I have a couple skin issues, both very different :
The first is just my eyelids, which I hope can resolve just naturally through home remedies. One time I lost my eye masks I usually use to sleep at night and in a pinch I just used a scarf for a few nights. Well, that scarf was abrasive to the eyelids unfortunately and this really hurt the eyelid skin a lot. I thought it would resolve just by putting moisturizer on it but I guess maybe the moisturizer which was hand cream which might have had an irritant and the makeup I was wearing really kept making it continue. I gradually lowered my makeup and started getting more uptight about how I treat it. Now I just put coconut oil on it when it's itchy, try not to rub it, and no makeup on it or creams. It's very red, and I'm concerned but ChatGPT said that it's probably not infected for real unless it swells up. I still put on a wing, but that's the most right now. I do need the wing, and the redness is not really in that area. But I really hope there won't be an issue with the wing. It is causing problems with my eyebrow makeup though :( I'm working on it.
The other is a serious acne issue which has been resurfacing after 12 years of no acne problems since I used accutane aka isotretinoin back in 2014. That worked for me, but the experience was very severe while on it, just on my skin. I don't think I got any liver or digestive issues as a result, which is one side effect rarely. But it's a very heavy medication. While on it, the skin is so dry that no amount of extreme vaseline or moisturizer will stop the skin from just flaking off in such a way which looks really grotesque and shocking. The face just becomes so flaky. For that reason, it's very hard to do that while working. I do need to look presentable to my clients. But since I've also been going through a lot of other health sensitivities, I decided not to take accutane until my system settles down again. But I have talked to the doctor about it and it's understood by dermatologists that sometimes the acne can resurface after a decade or more after use of accutane.
