The Fibonacci Golden Ratio (Golden Mean)
The Fibonacci Golden Ratio is a mathematical pattern of proportion found throughout nature, art, architecture, and design, often associated with unusual harmony and beauty. Closely connected to the Fibonacci sequence — a numerical progression in which each number emerges from the sum of the two before it — the Golden Ratio describes a spiralling relationship of growth that repeats organically across many living forms. This pattern appears in rose petals, spiral galaxies, pinecones, hurricanes, sunflower heads, nautilus and snail shells, branching trees, waves, and even aspects of the human body. Again and again, nature seems to return to this same elegant geometry as a foundational language of balance and unfolding life.
