Apple Stuff

I took some photos of the Apple Store when I was there recently having my headphones repaired for free on Apple Care. I'm sure if there was a price involved, it would have manifested instantly all thanks to the fact that I don't really listen to any music when I don't have them, except ambient on my laptop speakers. That said, I do hope someday to have even better headphones but they are crazy expensive (lol). The ones I have, the Dr Dre Studio ones (the big size) are amazing in sound though. I totally rely on that, and just take a wild guess how I manifested those a few years ago with Apple Care for like $400 (lol).

Anyway, it's somewhat similar when it comes to any devices if it's the difference between having nothing but a total piece of dying shit and something new of an appropriate new one. There's just no need to think about it. All my favourite stars would be desperate for me to have it, for every reason in the book. But the situation is slightly different with my iPhone Pro Max 11, which ... yes it's starting to stall a lot and need rebooted a lot, yes it's starting the Apple intelligence begging maneuvers, and it's speaking to me that it's "really time" ... but I don't know if my photography section on this website is really sorry looking enough to make it easy to manifest a brand new one. This camera is alright. It does work. So how do I get a new one?

I'm still trying to come up with creative ideas but one idea is that I'm now willing to be a good girl and buy one off Facebook Marketplace. But then again, how good of a girl is that if there's the risk of getting ripped off on a major purchase? I'm seeing you can get them for $1000 like the newest or recent model or something, and brand new, but that's without much storage space (and sure the amount of storage space I really need is debatable now that I have this website as a storage plan). But is that a scam? I've never bought them that way before — I always bought them new unless I specifically just needed a cheapie old one. So I don't even know.

Then there's the fact that I could use an iPad. Not only would I appreciate the opportunity to try painting with the pen on certain programs, but also my eyesight isn't what it used to be, and it would be nice for that too. Also that would help me to get cooler screenshots of the website to advertise on instagram too. So any star that would love UNITY LIFE would love me to have an iPad — and that's all of them. So I'm minorly surprised in a way it hasn't manifested yet, but the thing is, I hugely admit that's because it's not a real priority over other things in my own mind so I'm not trying that hard. I admit, the painting mission is not THAT emotionally important to me as an artist right now.

THEN we have of course the laptop. Recently that was so scary when I got water on one of the keys and permanently broke it. I always try to be soooooo careful about water around it. Maybe I should put a plastic cover on it but that's so rough (lol). I was thinking instead, I'd like a bigger L shaped desk (which is so key that it will be another post) so that my water is on the other part of the desk and I'm forced to reach away from the computer to take a sip every time. I am thinking about it. But somedays it's just that — what if something happened to this baby? If it did, my universe is over and I die of panic. It's a threat to my mental health not to have a backup laptop. That's what this one should be. But the only question is, is it true as an artist doing so much on the computer, that I kinda need a better laptop than an Air?

Airs so far are covering what I need to do. Sure, I do have to reboot kinda frequently when using a lot of programs, but it's no big deal. The amount of storage though is a real bitch to deal with that one issue. That's probably my only real serious reason right now why I'd like a real macbook for once, actually, is just for better storage capability. Using an external never works for me. I have so much technical problems, and it's like risking everything to put it on a storage. I'd kinda rather just store it on the website but it's just so nice and handy to have it right there on the fuckin computer to just get it right when I need it. And there is going to be TONS of illustrator files and stuff like that soon.

I could totally get by without it, I think. At least for a while as my illustrator files start building up over time. You know, dealing with external harddrives is a must if I'm going to be such a big girl now.

But anyway, one option for sure is just to buy a used version of just this adorable rose gold Air that I'm using now, which the color and year make is so snetimental to me, and just have that as my backup laptop. And I dunno, that might be around $1000. If I'm lucky, quite a bit less. And that's very much a thought.

It's so hard because buying Apple devices always feels like it should be the last priority, with so many pressures about rent and everything, but I'm scared it will become an emergency at a bad time.
